Our Story
A Legacy of Service to the Automotive Industry
The Stallings family has a long history in the automobile finance industry. Clark’s dad, Bill Stallings, founded Regional Acceptance Corporation in 1978 which eventually was acquired by BB&T in the mid 90’s. Bill was able to teach Clark and his three brothers the automobile finance business and they each have been in the business for many years.
All four Stallings brothers (pictured below, left to right: Blake, Clark, Billy, Jeff) had an opportunity to purchase the Greenville Auto Auction in 2010 and acted on it. They were blessed to build an amazing team and have successfully turned the once tired, local auction into a thriving business. The auction business inspired Clark to enter into the floor plan business and KCS Floor Plan, LLC was founded in 2011. KCS strives to be a relationship driven company seeking out only a few select dealers in each market that they enter.
In 1999, Select Acceptance Corp was formed to serve Eastern NC with auto and personal loans.
Select Dealer Services has a long standing relationship with Premier Dealer Services and are appointed as an authorized agent to provide F&I products — vehicle service and GAP contracts, and limited warranty products.
Clark’s first job after graduating from East Carolina University was with an independent insurance agency. His passion and love for insurance eventually led him to start his own insurance business: First State Insurance Advisors.
Operating through a common sense approach to business and founded on the principles of servant leadership, integrity, teamwork, attitude, and excellence; the entire Select Dealer Services family is honored to serve a growing number of independent automobile dealers across the state of North Carolina.
